1) Bokhara Pet Resort as a safety precaution, does not require clients to physically enter the Bokhara lobby office area in order to drop-off or pick-up their pets for they may remain in their car and phone our office number (231-264-5855) and a Bokhara staff member will then receive from or deliver back to the client at the car the client's pet. 2) For those clients who do physically enter the Bokhara lobby office area there is a limit of only one family (2 people) allowed to enter the facility at the same time. All clients must be wearing masks. Clients entering the office lobby area are required to be masked and stand behind the Big Red “X“ demarked on the lobby floor which marks the distance of six-feet between the staff work desk and the client. Touch-less Temperature Checks: Arriving clients who are entering the Bokhara lobby office area must have touch-less temperature checks taken upon entering the Bokhara lobby office area. Clients must be in the green normal range reading in order stay in the office. Mandatory: All Bokhara Employees are required each morning they are scheduled for work to take their touch-less temperature upon arrival prior to starting their work shift. It is required that an employee not report for work if feeling ill and must report immediately to Bokhara at (231) 264-6665 or email at er-pets@bokhara.com if they are feeling ill. 3) Masks are mandatory for all clients and all employees at all times while in the lobby office area – both lobby office/kennel staff employees and groomers are required to be masked when directly servicing clients, except, masks are not required by lobby office/kennel staff & grooming staff who are working alone in enclosed areas behind solid doors, or behind glass partition windows which are shielding workers from other workers or the public. This is when the employee is performing duties outside or alone and need not be masked while performing these duties as long as they are not in contact with any other employee or clients. 4) Touch-less Payment for Services can be transacted over the phone with a credit card number and the receipt emailed. 5) Bokhara Pet Resort allows no public or public tours in any areas of the dog care facility except in the lobby office area where only one (1) family consisting of no more than two (2) people are allowed at a time to enter the lobby office area. (The exception, to this rule pertains to clients arriving with cats for the Kitty Cottage where only two (2) members of the same household may enter with their cat in a carrier). 6) Front Desk/Lobby Staff are are working behind a large protective sneeze plexi-glas shield for the protection of the employee and the client/public. COVID-19 RISK EXPOSURES: Bokhara Pet Resort provides safety training to employees which is consistent with the guidelines of the C.D.C and MOSHA. Also provided is the method employees can report unsafe working conditions to employers. DESIGNATED COVID-19 SAFETY COORDINATORS: Bokhara Pet Resort has designated two (2) on-site Covid-19 Safety Coordinators where one or the other or both will be on-site during the Bokhara normal business hours to implement, monitor and report on the Covid-19 control strategies developed under the CDC rules. Nicole F. and Erika E. have been designated to be the Covid Response Coordinators in charge of keeping the Bokhara employees informed and up-to-date on any changing requirements. Bokhara Pet Resort employees fall into one or more of the following categories as defined by OSHA: COVID RISK LEVELS: Bokhara Pet Resort has only two (2) Risk Exposure levels for this type of business: 1) LOW-MEDIUM COVID-19 RISK EMPLOYEE EXPOSURES ARE: Jobs that require frequent and/or short time close contact (within 6-ft) with people who may be infected, but are not known or suspected COVID-19 patients, and shall keep employees at least 6-feet apart to the maximum extent possible. In regional areas without high ongoing community transmission, workers in this risk group may have contact with travelers who may return from locations with wider spread SARS-CoV-2 transmissions, It is mandatory for clients to wear double ply masks in order to enter the Bokhara facility. At times, employees may need in addition to their required masks to wear a combination of Gloves • Plastic Gown • Face Shields • KN-95 respirator mask (if needed) and safety goggles all of which have been been provided to the Bokhara employees at no charge to the employee. PPE worn will depend on results of job task hazard assessments, but there is reasonably low hazard risk to Bokhara employees and clients who are following the CDC established safety rules currently in place at Bokhara Pet Resort. The work performed by low-medium exposure risk employees where the employee may or may not come in close to semi-close contact with people who may be infected with COVID-19 - but who are not exhibiting any symptoms, signs or running a fever is low-medium. With employees & clients required to have their remote temperatures checked, properly wearing double/triple masks, all maintaining a six-foot social distancing mitigation space plus employees also working from behind the large sneeze guard plexi-glas shield there is not greater risk to the low-medium exposure risk employee. There are two (2) classes of employees currently employed at Bokhara Pet Resort who fall into the Low-medium exposure risk category: a) Front Desk/Kennel Staff are able to reasonably mitigate Covid-19 exposure risk through all clients and other employees required to be wearing double/triple layered masks while in the lobby office area, by working from behind the tall plexi-glas sneeze guard shield panel in place, by maintaining a 6-foot distance from any employees and clients who enters the lobby office area, by requiring touch-less temperature checks for each employee arriving for their work shift and requiring all clients who enter the lobby office area to also be touch-less temperature checked. Bokhara Pet Resort does not require front lobby office/kennel staff to come within 6-feet of any other employee, or outside client or the public. Front desk/kennel staff can mitigate reasonable exposure risk from the grooming staff by keeping the sliding glass window partition (separating the enclosed groom area from the front desk area) closed, and by using a 6-foot social distancing mitigation between all employees on staff. It is only when a grooming staff employee might request assistance from a front desk/kennel employee to hold a pet during a grooming procedure is where there might be closer exposure between Bokhara employees. b) Grooming Staff are able to reasonably and safely maintain the lowest level of exposure risk by taking advantage of the totally enclosed areas provided by the structure of the grooming area which provides sliding glass safety windows which are behind a a tall plexi-glas sneeze guard shield panel. Bokhara Pet Resort does not require any grooming staff to come within six-feet from any outside client or the public. Grooming staff can mitigate their exposure to front desk/kennel staff by keeping to their separate and enclosed groom area, and by using the 6-foot social distancing mitigation from the front desk/kennel staff. It is only when a grooming staff employee might request assistance from a front desk/kennel employee to hold a pet during a grooming procedure is where there might be closer exposure between Bokhara employees. 2) MINIMAL TO LOW COVID-19 RISK EMPLOYEE EXPOSURES ARE: Jobs that do not require contact with people known or suspected of being infected with coronavirus No frequent close contact (within 6-ft) with employees or general public Minimal contact with other employees The work performed does not require direct contact with people known or suspected to be infected with COVID-19 or having frequent close contact with other employees or the public). Bokhara Pet Resort employees who are of the “lower exposure risk” are divided into two (2) categories: a) Kennel Tech Only Staff (performing no office staff duties and no interaction with general clients/public), b) TLC Staff who are dog walkers and playtime staff having no contact with the clients or the general public. This level of staff keeps a 6-foot social distance from all other of the Bokhara Pet Care staff. NOTE: Because of the Covid-19 threat Bokhara has none of the Minimal to Low Covid-19 Risk Employees currently on staff until closer to 2021 Spring/Summer. Bokhara employees in this lower risk class need not wear any additional PPE beyond what is typically used for their daily job tasks. When working alone or outside masks may be voluntary when maintaining 6-foot distance mitigation between all other employee who may walk through that area. |
